I did not plan to be in my thirties, taking on student debt, worrying about what to wear on my first day of school and cycling to class with a heavy bag. But here I am –with more than 300 other MBA students from around the world.
A common thought among many of us is: What am I doing here? How do I fit in with the 24-year-old who started a consulting firm; the twenty-something who is writing her second book; or the Irishman who founded a tech company and exited through an acquisition. Doctors, Olympic athletes, singers, you name it, Saïd has at least one in the MBA cohort. Reputation aside, I chose Oxford for just that reason – to surround myself with international young professionals that I can learn from.
